Casa do Teatro offers January holiday workshops in São Paulo

Casa do Teatro hosts January 2026 holiday workshops for children and teens aged 4 to 16 at its Itaim Bibi and Pacaembu units in São Paulo.

Casa do Teatro, an educational project of CELIA HELENA — Centro de Artes e Educação focused on the artistic training of children and teenagers, presents a special holiday program in January 2026. The workshops are aimed at participants from 4 to 16 years old and bring together theatre, dance, music, circus, visual arts and audiovisual practices.

The activities will take place from 19 to 22 and from 26 to 29 January, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Itaim Bibi and Pacaembu units in São Paulo. With age-appropriate educational approaches, the workshops combine drama games, improvisation and collective creation processes led by experienced professionals.

The goal of the Casa do Teatro holiday program is to stimulate imagination, artistic expression and social interaction in a welcoming and creative environment. The proposal encourages listening, curiosity and autonomy, while reinforcing important social and emotional skills for children and young people.

Three programs for each age group

The holiday workshops are divided into three strands, each designed to meet the needs and interests of a specific age group.

Pequenos Criadores (4–7 years old): playful activities, themed universes and imagination-based games. Children explore characters, stories and movement through simple theatrical play.

Exploradores da Cena (8–11 years old): a program focused on theatrical skills and socio-emotional development, with improvisation, scene building and group work at the center.

Criadores em Cena (12–16 years old): workshops dedicated to contemporary theatre languages and collaborative processes, encouraging critical thinking, authorship and individual and collective expression.

Season opening with Gruuvi concert

The Casa do Teatro holiday season opens on 18 January, at 11 a.m., with a concert by Gruuvi, a group created by musician and musical director Gustavo Vellutini and actress-dancer Vitória Cortez, who is also a teacher at Casa do Teatro.

With music and movement tailored to children and teens, Gruuvi sets the tone for the workshops, inviting families into a playful atmosphere that links sound, body and storytelling.

Closing talk with Renata Schneider

The end of the holiday workshops at Casa do Teatro will be marked by a special meeting with actress and singer Renata Schneider, on 30 January, at 4:30 p.m. The activity is exclusive to those enrolled in the full workshop package.

During the session, participants will be able to hear about the artist’s professional journey, ask questions and talk about training, career choices and artistic creation in theatre and music.

Students already enrolled at Casa do Teatro have free access to the special holiday activities, reinforcing the continuity of their artistic education throughout the year.

For external participants, registration can be completed directly on the CELIA HELENA website, on the Casa do Teatro course page. Places are limited and allocated by unit and age group.
