CREA-RJ launches its first coworking space in Barra da Tijuca and presents a new service model for professionals.
CREA-RJ introduces new service concept
The CREA-RJ marked a historic moment with the inauguration of its first coworking space for registered professionals.
The transformation occurred with the redesign of the Barra da Tijuca Inspectorate, the fastest-growing region in Rio.
The pilot project aims to turn inspectorates across the state into service hubs for professionals in the Confea/Crea System.
President highlights institutional shift
President Miguel Fernández stated that the Council should act less as a bureaucratic entity and more as a meeting point for professionals and companies.
He emphasized that the Council’s mission is to protect society from the illegal practice of engineering, ensuring technical safety.
The event gathered directors, employees and professionals, as well as local authorities Leandro Marques and Douglas Moraes.
Barra da Tijuca stands out as strategic region
Real estate data show that Barra leads property transactions in Rio, with a 16.2% increase in the first semester.
Fernández highlighted the region’s investments in infrastructure and challenges related to sanitation and irregular construction.
He added that the Council will work jointly with the Municipality to strengthen engineering in the area.
Authorities praise coworking initiative
Subsecretary Douglas Moraes stressed the importance of a support point for professionals working in the field.
He noted that 80% of the Municipality’s technical analysts are CREA members, reinforcing the relevance of the new space.
Subprefect Leandro Marques highlighted the demand for engineering expertise in projects such as electric vehicle charging stations.
Inspectorate gains new structure and shared workspace
The Barra Inspectorate is located at Shopping Esplanada, on Avenida das Américas 3939, and now features a completely renewed layout.
The previous service counter was removed, giving way to a welcoming environment with air conditioning and a coffee area.
The unit offers a coworking room with internet access, printer and workstations for notebooks.
Directors celebrate milestone for CREA-RJ
Leadership thanked the service staff and directors Milton Neves and Denise Baptista Alves, who supported the project.
Denise emphasized the relevance of providing support for professionals who need to register ARTs or hold meetings.
Milton celebrated the milestone and thanked the institution’s technical team and employees.
Professionals attend opening ceremony
The inauguration gathered regional manager Ronaldo Kampel, strategic superintendent Pedro Coelho and chief of staff Rodrigo Machado.
The Inspectorate receives an average of ten to twelve professionals per day.
Visitors have access to service information and guidance for completing ARTs.
