Studio3 Dance Company and Osesp pay tribute to Caetano Veloso with new arrangements by Clarice Assad, November 20–22.
Studio3 Dance Company returns to Sala São Paulo from November 20 to 22 with the performance “Deixa eu Dançar”. In partnership with the Osesp Academic Orchestra and Choir, the show is conducted by Wagner Polistchuk and celebrates the multiple artistic facets of Caetano Veloso.
The production blends dance, music, and theater to reflect Caetano’s artistic diversity. With choreography by Anselmo Zolla, theatrical direction by William Pereira, and musical direction by Polistchuk, it transforms the artist’s journey into movement and sound.
A scenic manifesto on Brazil
More than a tribute, “Deixa eu Dançar” becomes a scenic manifesto about a Brazil suspended between the popular and the classical, order and disorder. Just as Caetano transcends boundaries, the work celebrates art as resistance, invention, and freedom.
The new arrangements are by composer Clarice Assad, bringing the same boldness and modernity found in Caetano Veloso’s music. The performances also feature guest singers Ayrton Montarroyos and Tatiana Parra.
