HBO confirms Lucy Boynton, Babou Ceesay and Peter Mullan for Season 2 of the Game of Thrones prequel series set a century before the original saga.
HBO has announced three major casting additions for the second season of The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Lucy Boynton joins as Lady Rohanne, Babou Ceesay takes on the role of Ser Bennis, and Peter Mullan portrays Ser Eustace Osgrey. The new additions are expected to bring fresh depth to the expanding world of the series.
A Century Before Game of Thrones
Set one hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series follows two unlikely heroes traveling across Westeros. The brave but naive young knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his small squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell) face great destinies, powerful enemies, and dangerous deeds bound together by an extraordinary friendship.
The story takes place during an era when the Targaryen dynasty still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet faded — placing the narrative in one of the most compelling chapters of Westerosi history.
George R. R. Martin Behind the Series
The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is co-created and executive produced by George R. R. Martin and Ira Parker, who also serves as showrunner. Sarah Bradshaw, Owen Harris, Ryan Condal, and Vince Gerardis round out the executive producing team.
Great destinies, powerful enemies, and dangerous deeds await these unlikely and unmatched friends.
