On Universal+, Keila, a nanny used to caring for others, seeks medical and emotional support to regain self-esteem.
The second episode of Alta Estima premieres this Tuesday (2) on Universal+, featuring the deeply moving story of Keila Roberta, a 38-year-old nanny who decides it’s time to care for herself after a lifetime devoted to others. Her journey focuses on self-discovery, self-acceptance, and transformation.
After undergoing bariatric surgery, Keila struggles with excess skin that affects both her health and confidence. She turns to plastic surgeons Alessandro Martins and Gabriel Basílio, along with psychologist Cíntia Aleixo, to help restore her physical comfort and emotional balance.
During consultations, the doctors explain each step of the surgery and emphasize safety and cautious recovery. In therapy, Keila creates a memory album to revisit key moments of her life and reflect on her future with renewed perspective. “The conversation with the psychologist was liberating,” she shares.
Her treatment includes a tummy tuck, liposuction, removal of a forehead lipoma, and facial filler with hyaluronic acid. “Such extensive procedures require prudence and professionalism,” notes Dr. Alessandro.
Produced by Inffinito in coproduction with NBCUniversal, Alta Estima explores the relationship between beauty, acceptance and emotional recovery. The show’s mission is to encourage viewers to embrace their individuality and self-worth beyond beauty standards.
New episodes of Alta Estima are available weekly on Universal+, as well as on Prime Video, Claro TV+, Vivo Play, UOL Play and Meli+.
