Donna Mantiqueira portrays Anouk Migotto’s emotional bond with the Serra da Mantiqueira and her dedication to territorial gastronomy. Produced by Arara.co, the film launches the series As Mantiqueiras, which explores the region through its passionate residents and creators.
Conceived by Kicko Rocha, the project reveals the region not just as geography but as language. “Each episode shows Mantiqueira as a form of dialogue,” notes Rocha, who directs the series.
Chosen to open the series, Anouk embodies the intersection of cuisine, creativity, and identity. Her story intertwines the demanding life of a chef with a reflection on belonging. “Some stories live in silence until we understand they need to be told,” she says.
The documentary highlights her relationships with local producers and her establishments — Donna Pinha in Santo Antônio do Pinhal and Casa Bambuí in Campos do Jordão.
