The wait for Euphoria is officially over. HBO and HBO Max announced Season 3 will debut Sunday, April 12, at 10 p.m., with eight new episodes released weekly.

The official trailer frames the story “years after high school,” bringing the childhood friend group back into focus as adulthood hits harder—through questions of faith, the hope of redemption, and the feeling that some choices can’t be undone.

What Season 3 is about

According to the synopsis, Season 3 follows the group as they face big, uncomfortable themes: faith, the possibility of redemption, and the nature of evil. The promise is a larger world beyond teen life—where consequences land with more force.

The footage doubles down on moral tension and relationships under strain, hinting at a kind of “curse” that follows certain people—and the collateral damage that comes with it.

Cast: returning faces and new names

The main cast includes Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace.

Also returning are Colman Domingo, Dominic Fike, Nika King, Alanna Ubach, Sophia Rose Wilson, Melvin Bonez Estes, Daeg Faerch, Paula Marshall, Zak Steiner, and Marsha Gambles.

New additions include Sharon Stone, ROSALÍA, Danielle Deadwyler, Marshawn Lynch, Natasha Lyonne, Eli Roth, Trisha Paytas, and Vinnie Hacker, among others.

A bigger look: 35mm and 65mm

Season 3 was shot on a new KODAK motion picture negative in both 35mm and 65mm. Creator Sam Levinson and cinematographer Marcell Rév partnered with Kodak to make commercial use of both formats possible.

Production notes say Euphoria is the first scripted TV series to use a significant volume of 65mm footage—aiming for a larger-scale visual experience that mirrors the characters’ shift into a “wilder” world beyond high school.

A global phenomenon, built with A24

The series has grown into a global cultural phenomenon and one of HBO’s most-watched titles, earning 25 Emmy® nominations and nine wins across its first two seasons.

Produced in partnership with A24, Euphoria is created, written, and directed by Sam Levinson, who also executive produces alongside Zendaya, Ashley Levinson, Sara E. White, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Tmira Yardeni, Yoram Mokady, and Gary Lennon. The series is based on the Israeli HOT original created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin.
