HBO Max reveals its 2026 slate with 52 weeks of premieres including series, films, animations, docuseries and local productions.
HBO Max has unveiled its complete lineup for 2026, featuring uninterrupted weekly releases with diverse and high-quality storytelling. The announcements were made at HBO Max Upfront 2026 in São Paulo, attended by Casey Bloys and platform leaders in Latin America.
The slate includes global franchises, exclusive films, local productions, impactful docuseries, children’s content and live sports, reaffirming the platform’s commitment to authentic and innovative entertainment.
Global series lead the year
The highlights include A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, premiering on January 19 and already renewed for a second season.
House of the Dragon returns with its third season in mid-2026 and is confirmed for a fourth season.
Euphoria returns in the second quarter with its anticipated new season, featuring the original cast and new additions such as Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Natasha Lyonne and Eli Roth.
The platform also announced Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, a new comedy spin-off of The Big Bang Theory starring Kevin Sussman.
Lanterns, from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television, will follow John Stewart and Hal Jordan in an intergalactic mystery on Earth.
The global lineup also includes Half Man, Rooster, DTF St. Louis, a new comedy by Sharon Horgan and the legal thriller War.
Major returning titles
The Pitt, this year’s Emmy winner for Best Drama Series, returns on January 9.
New seasons of The Gilded Age, Hacks, Dune: Prophecy, Industry and The Comeback are also confirmed.
Local productions for 2026
Brazilian productions include Dona Beja, premiering on February 2, and based on the story of Ana Jacinta de São José, played by Grazi Massafera.
City of God: The Fight Never Ends debuts its second season in the second half of 2026 with the original cast returning.
Like Water for Chocolate returns on February 15 with its second part, produced by Salma Hayek Pinault.
The Chespirito universe expands with Seu Madruga and Chapolin and the Colorados.
New docuseries
Brazilian docuseries include Slaves of Faith: The Heralds of the Gospel and Death and Mystery in the Amazon, both centered on impactful real events.
Regional productions also include Los Asesinos de Colosio and The Flores Massacre.
Animation for all ages
Children’s programming includes new episodes of The Amazing World of Gumball, Peppa Pig, Batwheels and Teen Titans Go!.
For adults, Primal returns alongside Rick & Morty.
Live sports
HBO Max continues to broadcast all matches of the UEFA Champions League and the Paulistão with expanded coverage through 2029.
With expert commentary, the platform reinforces its position as a top destination for sports fans.
