HBO Max brings new premieres this week, including the original series “Ângela Diniz: Assassinada e Condenada” and “Merteuil: Jogos de Sedução”. The platform also launches its holiday season with “O Melhor Espetáculo de Natal de Todos os Tempos” and adds new episodes of the docuseries “Narrativas Negras Não Contadas”.

ÂNGELA DINIZ: ASSASSINADA E CONDENADA

Series | HBO Original | Now streaming

The series revisits the story of Ângela Diniz, inspired by the acclaimed podcast Praia dos Ossos. The narrative examines the case that shook Brazil after her murder by Doca Street, a tragedy that became a turning point for feminist movements.

Starring Marjorie Estiano, Emilio Dantas and Antônio Fagundes, the production is directed by Andrucha Waddington.

MERTEUIL: JOGOS DE SEDUÇÃO

Series | HBO Original | Premieres November 14

The plot follows the ambitious journey of the Marquise de Merteuil as she seeks influence in Parisian society. Loosely inspired by Dangerous Liaisons, the story explores emotional and sexual freedom in a restrictive era.

The cast includes Anamaria Vartolomei, Diane Kruger and Vincent Lacoste, with direction by Jessica Palud.

O MELHOR ESPETÁCULO DE NATAL DE TODOS OS TEMPOS

Film | Premieres November 14

The film follows the troublesome Herdman children, who unexpectedly take over a community Christmas play. Grace, directing the show for the first time, faces resistance but ultimately discovers the true meaning of the holiday.

The cast features Judy Greer, Pete Holmes and Lauren Graham, directed by Dallas Jenkins.

NARRATIVAS NEGRAS NÃO CONTADAS — SEASON 2

Docuseries | Now streaming

The new season highlights stories about legacy, identity and resistance, featuring journalists who reshaped sports media, a pioneering maestro and the journey of Tiana, the country’s oldest Black trans woman.

The project is produced by Endemol Shine Brasil for Warner Bros. Discovery, with direction by Beatriz Costa, Guilherme Baptista and Dafny Bastet.

Release dates may change.
