On World Book Day, HBO reveals young Hogwarts cast for the upcoming Harry Potter series.
HBO announced a new wave of actors joining its highly anticipated Harry Potter original series this Thursday (March 5), celebrating the UK’s World Book Day. The reveal highlights the progress of filming at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
The new faces represent the core group of students from the four Hogwarts houses, joining previously confirmed leads Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger), and Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley). The lineup includes Asha Soetan as Angelina Johnson, Laila Barwick as Pansy Parkinson, India Moon as Hannah Abbott, and Anjula Murali as Padma Patil.
The production, described as a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s iconic book saga, is written and produced by Francesca Gardiner and directed by Mark Mylod. It is co-produced by Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television, with executive production from J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, and David Heyman.
