Heated Rivalry lands on HBO Max in Brazil in February, starring Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie and based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers books.
HBO Max has announced that Crave’s original series Heated Rivalry will premiere in Brazil in February. The show has become a TV phenomenon in recent weeks and is based on Rachel Reid’s acclaimed Game Changers book saga.
Created by Canadian writer, director, and producer Jacob Tierney (Letterkenny, Shoresy), the series follows Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, two professional hockey stars. Their fierce on-ice rivalry clashes with a secret, deeply emotional relationship off the ice.
Played by Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, Shane and Ilya rank among the biggest names in the Major League Hockey. Ambition and competitiveness fuel them, alongside a magnetic pull neither fully understands.
What begins as a casual encounter between two young rookies evolves over eight years into a journey shaped by love, denial, and self-discovery. As they chase success on the ice, they face a defining question: is there room for true love in a world as demanding and competitive as theirs?
The cast also includes François Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Sophie Nélisse, and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova.
Heated Rivalry is produced by Accent Aigu Entertainment in association with Crave (Bell Media) and is distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus. Season one consists of six episodes.
In February, this intense story of love, rivalry, and self-discovery arrives on HBO Max in Brazil and across Latin America.
