Kayce Dutton trades the ranch for a badge: Marshals: A Yellowstone Story premieres March 2 on Paramount+, with Luke Grimes returning to the role that made him a fan favorite.
Paramount+ has released the official trailer for the latest chapter in Taylor Sheridan‘s ever-expanding Yellowstone universe. The youngest Dutton son leaves ranch life behind to join an elite U.S. Marshals unit, combining his skills as a cowboy and former Navy SEAL to bring justice to the wilds of Montana.
A New Chapter for Kayce Dutton
Kayce leads a tight-knit team that includes Pete Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green), Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel), Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos), and Miles Kittle (Tatanka Means). Together, they carry the psychological weight of standing as the last line of defense against violence across the Montana frontier.
Beyond the badge, each character wrestles with the demands of family life. For Kayce, that means staying present for his son Tate (Brecken Merrill) and honoring his bonds with Mo (Mo Brings Plenty) and Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) of the Broken Rock Indian Reservation.
The Yellowstone Universe Keeps Growing
Marshals joins a growing list of Yellowstone spin-offs — including 1883 and 1923 — that have turned Sheridan’s vision into a streaming phenomenon. The series promises the same gritty drama and stunning Montana landscapes that audiences have come to expect from the franchise.
The official trailer is already live on YouTube, previewing intense action sequences, moral dilemmas, and the raw beauty of the American West.
