From Lisa Kudrow to Steve Carell, HBO Max’s March lineup includes hit series, major films, and the live 2026 Oscars.
HBO Max starts March full of premieres—from emotional dramas to sharp comedies, thrillers, documentaries, and live events. The main attractions are new HBO Original series like DFT St. Louis, Rooster, and the final season of The Comeback.
New HBO and Max Originals
DFT St. Louis is now streaming, exploring a tangled love triangle in midlife with Jason Bateman, David Harbour, and Linda Cardellini. On March 8, Rooster premieres—Steve Carell stars as a writer struggling to reconnect with his daughter. Then, on March 23, Lisa Kudrow returns for the third and final season of The Comeback. Historical drama Máxima also returns on March 19, following Queen Máxima’s path from marriage to coronation.
Major movie premieres
March movie highlights include the sci-fi thriller Matar. Vingar. Repetir (March 6), a story of vengeance across parallel universes. The same day brings Alien: Romulus, a return to the franchise’s horror roots under producer Ridley Scott. Planet of the Apes: The Reign (March 13) opens a new chapter in the saga, while Uno: Between Gold and Death (March 20) explores intrigue in a Colombian mining town. Comedy-horror Anaconda closes the month on March 27, starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd.
Documentaries and docuseries
Colosio: Political Assassination reexamines Mexico’s most shocking political murder. In Brazil, Naked Online: The Rose Leonel Story revisits a pioneering revenge porn case that inspired legal reform. The touching docuseries Sobre Essa Pele returns for its second season on March 5.
Live events and sports
The 2026 Oscars® airs live on March 15, featuring red carpet coverage with Carol Ribeiro and commentary by Vladimir Brichta, Fabiula Nascimento, and Aline Diniz. Sports fans can enjoy the Paulistão finals (March 4 and 8) and the UEFA Champions League round of 16 on March 10, 11, 17, and 18.
