Tension rises in episode six of IT: Welcome to Derry

Sixth episode of IT: Welcome to Derry airs Sunday, 30 November, on HBO and HBO Max, intensifying the terror after Pennywise appears.

São Paulo, 28 November 2025 – After Pennywise’s first official appearance in the series, the sixth episode of IT: WELCOME TO DERRY, premiering this Sunday, 30 November, at 11 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max, raises the tension even further. Children and adults now deal with the consequences of their encounter with the clown in the sewers. The story delves deeper into the fears and trauma awakened by the creature.

Plagued by increasingly disturbing visions, Dick is haunted by dark images and discovers the role of the Black Spot in Charlotte’s plans. Meanwhile, Will faces his parents’ disapproval after putting himself in danger. Marge confronts the Patty Cakes, and Lilly begins to behave in increasingly unpredictable ways, heightening the feeling of uncertainty among the group.

The series, which explores the origins of IT and Pennywise, returns for another intense Sunday. Viewers can expect plenty of scares and suspenseful moments as Derry’s story unfolds, even for those who prefer to watch with half-closed eyes. Each episode widens the sense of threat hanging over the town.

Set in the IT universe created by Stephen King, this eight-episode HBO original draws inspiration from the novel that started it all. The narrative expands on the terrifying vision brought to the screen by Andy Muschietti in the two franchise films. The cast features Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso and Bill Skarsgård.

Produced by HBO and Warner Bros. Television, IT: WELCOME TO DERRY was developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, who also serve as executive producers. The Muschiettis represent Double Dream, while Fuchs produces through FiveTen. Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Bill Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee and Dan Lin complete the executive production team.
