The 2026 Awards Season keeps Brazilian audiences hooked on the world’s most anticipated ceremonies celebrating the best in cinema, TV series and music. On Sunday, January 11, TNT and HBO Max will air the live broadcast of the 83rd Annual Golden Globes® from the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Hosted by Carol Ribeiro straight from the red carpet, the pre-show on TNT and HBO Max gives viewers exclusive behind-the-scenes access and close encounters with the night’s biggest stars.

The main ceremony broadcast features commentary from TV and film expert Aline Diniz, along with simultaneous translation by Regina Pierantoni Mccarthy and Robert Greathouse, enhancing the experience for Brazilian viewers.

Strong nominations for HBO Max and Warner Bros

This year, HBO Max earned 15 nominations across HBO Original and Max Original productions, including The White Lotus, Hacks, The Pitt, The Last of Us and Task: Unidade Especial.

Stand-up specials starring Bill Maher and Brett Goldstein also stand out, showcasing the strength of series and comedy at the Golden Globes®.

In film, Warner Bros productions racked up 18 nominations with titles like Uma Batalha Atrás da Outra, Pecadores and A Hora do Mal, solidifying their key role in the Awards Season.

Brazilian film O Agente Secreto shines with three nods

For the second year running, Brazil has extra reasons to cheer at the Golden Globes®: the national film O Agente Secreto, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and starring Wagner Moura, is nominated in three categories.

The nods are for Best Drama Motion Picture, Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language and Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture, putting Brazilian cinema in the international spotlight.
