For the third straight year, Mapfre backs Brazilian driver Lineu Pires in the Porsche Cup Brasil — kicking off this weekend at Interlagos.
Global insurance and financial services company Mapfre has confirmed the renewal of its sponsorship of driver Lineu Pires for the 2026 season of the Porsche Cup Brasil. The partnership, which began in 2024, underlines the company’s commitment to nurturing young talent and championing values like high performance, focus, and resilience.
Three seasons, one shared drive
The bond between the insurer and the 26-year-old driver has grown steadily. In 2025, Lineu finished 12th in the Carrera Cup among 36 competitors — a result that set the stage for renewing the deal heading into 2026.
“It is a pleasure for Mapfre to maintain this partnership, as it symbolizes the pursuit of excellence we recognize in Lineu. By supporting him, we strengthen our presence in a sport that shares the values we hold dear — determination, focus, and overcoming challenges.” — Letícia Matuck, Events and Sponsorships Manager at Mapfre
Mapfre‘s refreshed brand identity will appear on Lineu’s car, in the pit box, on his race suit, and across promotional activations throughout the season. For the driver, the support carries meaning well beyond branding.
“Having the trust of a global brand like Mapfre for a third year is extra fuel to chase the podium. It’s an honor to carry their name on my suit knowing our values align both on and off the track.” — Lineu Pires, driver
Season opener: Interlagos this weekend
The 2026 Porsche Cup Brasil calendar gets underway this Saturday and Sunday at the iconic Autódromo de Interlagos in São Paulo. The opening round follows a sprint format — short, high-intensity races — featuring all three series classes: Carrera Cup, Sprint Challenge, and Sprint Trophy.
Sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the Brazilian Confederation of Motorsport (CBA), the Porsche Cup was founded in 2005 and stands as the premier Porsche racing series in Brazil, featuring the 911 GT3 Cup and 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
Now in his sixth consecutive season in the championship, Lineu Pires is eyeing a stronger finish than ever.
“Mapfre’s support is essential to my growth in such a competitive series. I’m fully focused on this cycle and ready to repay that trust with solid results and all-out effort at every round.” — Lineu Pires, driver
