Brazil in Libertadores from day one
Fluminense opens Brazil’s campaign in the CONMEBOL Libertadores™, traveling to Venezuela to face Deportivo La Guaira on Tuesday, April 7, at 7 PM (BRT), in an exclusive broadcast. Coverage begins an hour early, with Nivaldo Prieto calling the match from the stadium, analyst Paulo Vinícius Coelho (PVC) in the studio, and Alê Xavier and Carlos Cereto reporting from pitchside.
On Wednesday, April 8, Mirassol — a club from the interior of São Paulo state making its continental debut — hosts Lanús at 7 PM in another exclusive match, narrated by Gerson Jr. with commentary from Celso Cardoso. All six of Mirassol’s group-stage games will be shown exclusively on Paramount+.
Reigning champion Flamengo rounds out the Brazilian slate, facing Cusco in Peru also on Wednesday, at 9:30 PM, with Leandro Bollis on commentary and Robson Morelli as analyst.
“From a technical standpoint, Brazilian clubs have shown great strength, even dealing with the challenges of travel and tough opponents — they’ve consistently shone in group stages. And on the coverage side, what sets Paramount+ apart is having teams on the ground at the stadiums, giving fans a deeper look at what goes on behind the scenes, team tactics, and the atmosphere of each match.” — Paulo Vinícius Coelho (PVC), Paramount+ analyst
Sudamericana: Vasco, São Paulo and Grêmio
In the CONMEBOL Sul-Americana™, Vasco opens its campaign away against Barracas Central, in Argentina, on Tuesday, April 7, at 7 PM, in an exclusive match. Paramount+ will be the exclusive home for all six of Vasco’s group-stage fixtures, with Marcelo Hazan on the mic and Marília Ruiz providing analysis.
São Paulo takes on Boston River in Uruguay on Tuesday at 9:30 PM, narrated by Marcelo Hazan with commentary from Celso Cardoso. Grêmio then enters the competition on Wednesday, April 8, facing Montevideo City Torque at 9:30 PM, also exclusively on Paramount+, with Marcelo Hazan and Marília Ruiz.
“The CONMEBOL Sul-Americana™ group stage is always unpredictable — and that’s exactly what makes it so thrilling. With only the group winner advancing directly to the knockout rounds, no team can afford to slip up. Fans can expect intensity, surprises, and plenty of great stories.” — Alê Xavier, Paramount+ analyst
