Skate Total Urbe (STU) has entered a new chapter in Brazilian sports with a major broadcast deal with the Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação. The agreement will bring skateboarding to prime time sports programming, solidifying its place among the country’s leading sports.

The first stage of STU National 2026 takes place this weekend in Porto Alegre, at the Orla do Guaíba skatepark, featuring top Street and Park skaters. The new coverage model coincides with the release of the 2026 calendar, with events across four of Brazil’s five regions.

“Bringing skateboarding to prime time strengthens our mission to elevate the sport in Brazil and worldwide,” says Diogo Castelão, founder of STU.

The multiplatform structure integrates free TV, BandSports, digital platforms, and the STU Channel. Band will air at least eight stages, with Sunday finals broadcast for 90 minutes nationwide.

According to Denis Gavazzi, Sports Director at Grupo Bandeirantes, this partnership celebrates the sport’s cultural importance. “It’s fantastic to be the home of skateboarding on both free and pay TV,” he said.

A key highlight will be the Paraskate broadcast, reinforcing inclusivity and visibility for adaptive athletes.

With its 2026 calendar confirmed through June, STU strengthens Brazil’s leadership in world skateboarding and expands the sport’s reach to millions of fans across generations.
