Games like League of Legends and Valorant became unavailable. The failure occurred in a service used by Riot Games. Services such as Spotify and Discord also presented failures. Portals like Letterboxd and Olhar Digital reported difficulties. Down Detector itself was impacted.
Users saw various error messages. The messages included “internal server error on the Cloudflare network.” They also displayed “generalized 500 errors.” On X, the message was “An error occurred. Try reloading the page.”
The most cited problems were the connection to the server. Other complaints were about DNS and domains. Cloudflare confirmed the problem in a statement. It was actively investigating the failure. The financial impact is alarming. Outages can cost US$ 9,000 per minute to companies.
