Foundation stone lays start for South America’s first Club Med Exclusive Collection, opening in 2027.
The foundation stone ceremony for the new Club Med Gramado marked the beginning of construction for the resort within the Sirena Gramado complex. This will be the fourth Club Med resort in Brazil and the first Exclusive Collection property in South America, representing the brand’s top luxury tier.
Scheduled to open in 2027, the project is a partnership between Grupo Sirena, DC Set Group and Club Med. The event gathered global executives including Janyck Daudet and Stéphane Maquaire, along with Rio Grande do Sul’s governor Eduardo Leite.
Luxury and exclusive experiences
The new Club Med Gramado will blend innovation, wellness and immersive experiences, featuring 250 rooms and 20 exclusive villas. Interiors are designed by French designer Marc Hertrich, with architecture by UNYT.
Highlights include a Convention Center, a wellness hub with spa and indoor pool, an artisanal chocolate shop, a Gaúcho-inspired wine bar, and international cuisine stations.
Sustainability and local impact
The project aims for LEED certification and will use integrated smart systems for energy, water and gas to minimize environmental impact. Around 90% of the 600 direct jobs will be offered to local professionals, reinforcing the company’s social commitment.
Part of the R$1 billion Sirena Gramado complex, the resort will also feature South America’s largest artificial ski slope, botanical gardens and sustainable recreation areas.
