In 2025, Czechia welcomed 201,096 Latin American visitors, breaking a pre-pandemic record. Brazil leads with 11.15% growth year over year.
The Czech Tourism Office has confirmed that the Latin American market crossed the milestone of 200,000 annual visitors for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic, closing 2025 with 201,096 arrivals. The figure marks a clear step forward from the 194,026 recorded in 2024.
Beyond raw numbers, the quality of travel also improved. The average length of stay for Latin American visitors rose from 3.49 nights in 2024 to 3.54 nights in 2025, reflecting a growing interest in exploring destinations beyond Prague.
Brazil tops the Latin American rankings
Brazil leads the region by a wide margin. In 2025, 62,547 Brazilian travelers visited the Czech Republic, surpassing even the pre-pandemic benchmark of 61,048 arrivals recorded in 2019. Annual growth reached 11.15% compared to 2024, cementing Brazil’s position as the top Latin American source market.
Mexico ranks second with 51,301 visitors. On average stay, Brazil also leads with 3.66 nights per traveler, followed by Mexico at 3.54 nights.
Expanding beyond Prague
For Petr Lutter, director of the Czech Tourism Office for Latin America, these results reflect a deep cultural connection between the regions.
Latin America is a priority region for us. The fact that we have recovered and surpassed the 200,000-visitor mark proves that our culture, history and hospitality resonate strongly in this market. And the fact that travelers are staying longer allows us to diversify our offer across our 14 regions beyond Prague, enriching their experience and strengthening the local economy.
