Disney magic lights up Christmas in Curitiba

Disney Celebra: An Unforgettable Christmas brings free attractions, technology and accessibility to Barigui Park from December 5.

Barigui Park turns into a dreamlike setting with the arrival of Disney Celebra: An Unforgettable Christmas. Starting December 5, the free attraction invites audiences to experience the magic of Christmas. Immersive and interactive experiences combine light, music and emotion in one of Curitiba’s most anticipated events.

The decorations and activations are part of a schedule that also includes the paid live show Disney Celebra: An Unforgettable Christmas – live show. Both projects are supported by the Federal Culture Incentive Law (Lei Rouanet). The event is carried out by the Federal Government, Ministry of Culture, Disney and AirPromo, with Curitiba as Host City.

A magical journey through the park

More than a scenic space, the circuit offers a true journey through imagination. Free attractions spread across Barigui Park create an enchanting route. This path blends art, technology and emotion at every step.

The Magic Park and all its activations occupy more than 78,000 m² of Barigui Park. As a result, one of Curitiba’s most famous tourist spots turns into a universe of fantasy and enchantment. The proposal is to immerse visitors in a Christmas atmosphere full of surprises.

Highlights include the Tunnel of Wishes, a 120 meter corridor lit by thousands of light points. The Tree of Wishes, 35 meters high and featuring over 100,000 LED pixels, also impresses visitors. Another landmark is the Mickey Spot, a monumental 6.3 meter sculpture of the world’s most beloved character.

“The route also offers interactive experiences and moments of pure nostalgia, such as the Portal of Wishes, a symbolic entrance to the Christmas circuit; the Disney Celebra Fanfarra, which goes around the park playing classic songs; and several partner brand activations that boost the fun with dynamics, gifts and instagrammable spaces,” says Rafael Maia, VP of Institutional Relations and New Business at AirPromo.

Accessibility and inclusion for all

With free access, the attraction was designed to welcome people of all ages. The structure includes several accessibility resources to ensure comfort and safety. In this way, the event reinforces its commitment to inclusion.

The circuit provides scooters and wheelchairs to facilitate mobility. There are also ramps in all areas, adapted restrooms and Braille signage. Videos in Brazilian Sign Language complete the accessible communication efforts.

Disney+ Open Air screenings

Major Disney productions gain prominence at Disney+ Open Air, an outdoor cinema experience featuring 56 films. Screenings take place in three daily time slots from December 5 to 23. During this period, audiences can revisit classics and discover new titles.

The area was specially prepared to welcome families and visitors of all ages. The themed setting and comfortable structure occupy the lawn in front of the pavilion. Admission is free and subject to capacity, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Brand partnerships and themed activations

The Magic Park also comes to life thanks to partnerships with major brands that believe in the power of culture and imagination. These companies help broaden the experience for visitors. Their activations bring families even closer to the Christmas spirit.

These brands sign themed activations filled with interactivity, nostalgia and enchantment. Each one offers direct contact with the Disney universe and the magic of Christmas.

Each space translates the brands’ purpose into emotional experiences. The Dream Nursery by Mili welcomes families with small children. The Kitchen of Wishes by Britânia evokes warm memories linked to cooking.

The Wishes Mail by Nubank encourages visitors to write down their dreams and expectations for the future. These environments reinforce the atmosphere of celebration, inclusion and magic. They help make Disney Celebra: An Unforgettable Christmas at Barigui Park truly memorable.
