While Easter in Brazil often means packed schedules and tourist crowds, the Hotel Ritta Höppner in Gramado is charting a different course. Its 2026 Easter programming is built around intentional slowness — an invitation to linger rather than rush, to notice details rather than check off attractions.

A Table That Tells a Story

At the heart of the experience is the Restaurante Höppner, where the kitchen takes a contemporary approach to German culinary heritage. Rather than reproducing the past, the menu reinterprets it — keeping the soul of the tradition while speaking a modern language. From March 27 onward, special three-course Easter menus will be served at both lunch and dinner, designed to delight with balance rather than excess.

Wine, Chocolate, and a Pianist

On March 28, April 4, and April 11, at 6 PM, the hotel hosts an exclusive wine and chocolate pairing session featuring four wines from Cave Antiga and four chocolates from Prawer — one of Gramado’s most beloved artisan chocolate makers. This complimentary experience for registered guests blends the best of Rio Grande do Sul’s winemaking with the region’s signature chocolate craft.

On April 4, the restaurant becomes a concert venue. Pianist Douglas Nobrega performs live from 7:30 PM to 10 PM, setting an atmosphere that transforms dinner into an evening to remember.

Easter Magic for Families

Young guests are not forgotten. The Kinder Haus children’s space runs special Easter programming, with extended hours until 8 PM on the holiday Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, April 5, the beloved Easter Egg Hunt fills the morning with laughter and wonder. Breakfast on March 29 and April 5 features characters from Mini Mundo, Gramado’s famous miniature world attraction.

Afternoon tea is served daily throughout the period, with a special menu on Good Friday (April 3) and Saturday (April 4) — a refined ritual that pairs perfectly with the mountain air of the Serra Gaúcha.

67 Years of Award-Winning Hospitality

The Ritta Höppner is Gramado’s most storied hotel, with 67 years of welcoming guests. In 2025, it was named Best Hotel in South America by TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice — Best of the Best. That same year, it won the title of Best Boutique Hotel for Weddings and Events in Brazil and South America from the Signum Virtutis award — the highest distinction granted since 2013 by the Seven Stars Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards, based in London.
