A packed auditorium: Fecomércio RJ honored 16 leaders with the Estácio de Sá Commercial Merit Order on Tuesday (02/10)
The ceremony took place at the federation’s auditorium and brought together businesspeople, sector leaders, and institutional representatives recognized for their impact on Rio de Janeiro state’s trade, services, and tourism.
Fecomércio RJ president Antonio Florencio de Queiroz Junior, the Grand Master, led the presentation of the Order.
Chancellor Pedro Wähmann, Secretary Paulo Romano, and Ethics Council member Nestor Porto also took part, forming the Order’s council alongside the president.
According to the federation, the event underscored entrepreneurship, free enterprise, and a healthier business environment as pillars for sustainable economic growth across the state.

Estácio de Sá Commercial Merit Order: what it stands for
Created to recognize careers defined by merit, relevance, and commitment to economic and social development, the Order honors Estácio de Sá, founder of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
Fecomércio RJ says the award reflects dedication, public responsibility, and tangible contributions to society, with a focus on strengthening the state’s service economy.

Ela brota de uma instituição que, desde a sua criação, oferece oportunidades para milhares de brasileiros que a sociedade não enxerga, propiciando acesso à qualificação, à capacitação e à formação profissional.
