With only nine days left of the 2026 summer, São Sebastião, on São Paulo’s North Coast, remains a vibrant destination full of cultural and natural attractions to wrap up the season.
Caiçara Food Festival celebrates 390 years of history
From March 12 to 15, the 8th Caiçara Food Festival takes over the Rua da Praia Tourist Complex, celebrating São Sebastião’s 390th anniversary. Over 30 local restaurants present dishes inspired by coastal cuisine, along with art exhibits and cooking workshops.
The program includes the Cozinha Show, featuring live cooking demos by chefs Thiago Castanho, André Marques, and Larissa Januário, plus nightly concerts with Eli Soares, Menos é Mais, Valesca Mayssa, and Cleyton & Romário.
Historical center with colonial charm
The city’s historic center is a treasure of colonial heritage, with landmarks like the São Sebastião Main Church, built in the 17th century, and Casa Esperança, a preserved structure made with seashell mortar and whale oil.
Museums showcase coastal culture
Perfect for cloudy days, São Sebastião’s museums explore its coastal identity. Highlights include the Museum of Sacred Art, Casa Severino Ferraz, Casa da Cultura, and the Marine Life Space, which displays local biodiversity.
Beaches for every traveler
With around 100 km of coastline, São Sebastião offers beaches for every taste: Maresias for surfers, Juquehy and Camburi for families, and Boiçucanga for sunset lovers. Quiet beaches like Paúba, Barra do Sahy, and Toque-Toque Pequeno are perfect for relaxing.
Waterfalls in the Atlantic Forest
Nature lovers can explore waterfalls hidden in the Atlantic Forest. The Camburi Waterfall, Pedra Lisa in Boiçucanga, and Jaraguá Waterfall are among the most visited, offering refreshing natural pools for swimming.
