A celebrity chocolatier, a beachside luau, and guided nature walks: Txai Resort Itacaré turns Easter and Tiradentes into unforgettable experiences on Brazil’s Cocoa Coast.
Easter with a deep dive into cacao culture
From April 2 to 5, 2026, Txai Resort Itacaré celebrates Easter by putting the spotlight on the region’s most iconic ingredient: cacao. Nestled in Brazil’s Cocoa Coast in southern Bahia, the resort weaves the area’s rich chocolate heritage into a carefully curated lineup of experiences for guests of all ages.
Adults can immerse themselves in the world of fine chocolate under the guidance of acclaimed chocolatier Andrei Martinez. The guided tasting “Chocolate and the Senses” explores bars from different origins and cacao percentages. The session “From Cacao to Coffee” delves into the production processes of both beloved beverages. Rounding out the adults-only programming: a wine and chocolate pairing and a special Easter dinner featuring cacao-infused dishes, cocktails, and desserts.
CRIA Kids Club: adventures for younger guests
Younger guests are equally well looked after. The CRIA Kids Club has lined up brigadeiro-making workshops, children’s cooking classes, and a hands-on session for creating and decorating filled Easter eggs. A playful lab lets kids sculpt lollipops and colorful mini chocolate bars, while pool and beach games keep energy levels high throughout the day.
Nature also takes center stage: an Easter egg hunt on the beach, beachside picnics, marshmallow bonfires, evening group activities, and ecology walks led by a biologist offer discovery at every turn. The festivities wrap up with a movie screening and chocolate popcorn.
Tiradentes: surf, spa, and a moonlit luau
Guests visiting during the Tiradentes holiday, April 17–21, can look forward to a wellness-forward and adventurous agenda. Surf lessons, yoga sessions, and restorative rituals at SPA Shamash sit alongside standout moments: a beachside luau, a guided nighttime walk during turtle nesting season with a biologist, and curated regional excursions through the Casa de Passeios.
Chef Nena’s signature Bahian cuisine
Throughout both holiday periods, dining is helmed by Chef Nena at the resort’s two restaurants: Orixás and Praia. At Restaurante Praia, standout dishes include the Whole Grilled Fish — served with banana farofa, broccoli rice, and grilled vegetables — and the inventive Bahian Pad Thai, reinterpreted with rice noodles, mango, cashews, and shrimp.
At Restaurante Orixás, Bahian flavors shine in dishes like the Seafood Toast: house-baked garlic bread topped with fresh seafood from the southern Bahia coast and a lightly spicy, creamy butternut squash sauce. Every plate tells the story of its land.
A proud member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux collection, Txai Resort Itacaré spans 92 hectares of preserved Atlantic Forest, with just 38 bungalows stretching along 3 km of secluded beach in southern Bahia.
