Brazilian airline GOL connects Manaus and Boa Vista with a new nonstop route, boosting regional integration across the Amazon basin starting April 2026.
On April 12 and 13, 2026, GOL Linhas Aéreas launched direct flights between Manaus (MAO) and Boa Vista (BVB), linking the capitals of Amazonas and Roraima — two of the most important economic and cultural hubs in the Brazilian Amazon. The new route closes a significant connectivity gap in Brazil’s northern region.
Flight schedule and aircraft
The Manaus–Boa Vista nonstop route operates on a weekly schedule. Flights depart Manaus on Fridays and Sundays, while return flights from Boa Vista leave on Mondays and Saturdays. All flights are operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, accommodating up to 186 passengers.
Passengers arriving in Manaus from Boa Vista can easily connect to Rio de Janeiro (GIG), São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU), and Brasília (BSB), expanding travel options across Brazil.
Tourism and economic impact
The route carries strategic importance for the region’s development. Bruno Balan, GOL’s Executive Manager of Network Planning, explained the airline’s vision for the North.
Being present in the northern region is essential to strengthening mobility, integrating markets, and expanding access to opportunities.

Frank Dantas, president of Amazonastur (the Amazonas state tourism agency), welcomed the resumption of direct air service between the two states.
The return of the direct flight between Manaus and Boa Vista is a significant achievement for Amazonas. This connection strengthens integration among the northern states, facilitates the movement of tourists, and expands business opportunities. We are working to establish Amazonas as an increasingly accessible destination, and expanding the air network is essential to driving tourism, creating jobs, and stimulating the economy.
Frank Dantas, president of Amazonastur
Cássio Gomes, Secretary of Culture and Tourism of Roraima, also praised the new connection.
We are very pleased with this new advance in our state’s air connectivity. I congratulate GOL on launching the Manaus–Boa Vista flight, an initiative that strengthens regional integration and shows confidence in Roraima’s potential. The new route expands opportunities for tourism, trade, and job creation, contributing to the state’s economic development.
Cássio Gomes, Secretary of Culture and Tourism of Roraima
Kleyton Mendes, CEO of the Amazon Airports Concessionaire — which manages the Manaus and Boa Vista airports as part of the VINCI Airports network — underscored the broader significance of the route.
Far beyond just another destination option, this flight means more connectivity for the Amazon, while also contributing to tourism growth, generating more business and opportunities. It is a materialization of our commitment to connecting territories and people to transform the reality of these places.
Kleyton Mendes, CEO of the Amazon Airports Concessionaire
Inaugural celebration
GOL marked the inaugural flights with special activations at both airports. Passengers were welcomed with themed check-in totems and received exclusive commemorative pins: the Manaus pin features the pink river dolphin (boto-cor-de-rosa), an iconic symbol of the Amazon, while the Boa Vista pin depicts the Monument to the Gold Miners (Monumento aos Garimpeiros), a landmark that reflects Roraima’s history.
