Rio’s top hotel associations joined forces at the 5th ExpoRio Turismo, a fair showcasing 92 municipalities across 12 tourism regions of Rio de Janeiro state.
Two of Rio de Janeiro’s most influential hospitality organizations came together at ExpoRio Turismo 2026. Alfredo Lopes, president of HotéisRIO, and José Domingo Bouzon, president of ABIH-RJ, shared a joint booth where attendees could learn about the services and initiatives offered by the hotel sector.
A fair that maps Rio’s tourism potential
Now in its fifth edition, ExpoRio Turismo aims to spotlight the tourism potential of all 92 municipalities in Rio de Janeiro state. The event brings together more than 100 exhibitors from the state’s 12 tourism regions, covering culture, gastronomy, entertainment, and handicrafts.
The fair goes beyond a traditional trade show. Immersive and sensory experiences, live music, lectures, and audiovisual content create an engaging environment for both industry professionals and the general public curious about what Rio’s diverse regions have to offer.
The presence of HotéisRIO and ABIH-RJ at the event underscores the hotel industry’s active role in promoting Rio de Janeiro as a leading tourism destination in Brazil and beyond.
