Deep in the Amazon, Juma Amazon Lodge runs on 100% clean energy and becomes the Americas’ first jungle hotel with the Green Key seal.
Set in a fully preserved 7,000-hectare area about 100 km from Manaus, the lodge delivers a rare mix: true rainforest immersion with comfort and a lower environmental footprint. It’s designed for travelers who want meaningful nature without leaving responsibility behind.
Green Key certification and 24/7 clean power
Juma Amazon Lodge is the first jungle hotel in the Americas to receive the Green Key seal, one of the leading international sustainability certifications for tourism and hospitality. The recognition signals strict standards in environmental management, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
A cornerstone of that commitment is its 100% clean, autonomous energy operation. The system combines 333 solar panels with a capacity of 185 kWp and an advanced battery energy storage system (BESS), ensuring a continuous 24-hour supply—even in the middle of the rainforest.
To minimize impact, the solar plant was built 11 meters above the ground. This approach avoids cutting trees, preserves native forest, and improves solar capture—linking innovation to genuinely low-impact infrastructure.
Stilt bungalows designed for the rainforest
The property has 20 stilt bungalows, a design choice that helps protect the surrounding environment while deepening the sense of connection to the forest. Natural materials and an integrated layout reflect a discreet, understated elegance.
Floating river pool, a 31-meter tower, and guided immersion
Facilities include a floating natural pool fed by river water with underwater protection, plus a restaurant that blends regional flavors with international cuisine. A hammock lounge area invites slow downtime—the kind that feels right in the Amazon.
A standout feature is the 31-meter observation tower, offering sweeping views over the canopy and the endless green horizon. Specialized guides lead immersive forest experiences, reinforcing the lodge’s focus on conscious, transformative travel.
Luxury travel with accountability
More than a place to stay, Juma Amazon Lodge positions itself as a genuine way to experience the Amazon—pairing measured sophistication with sustainable innovation. The lodge is also part of the Brazilian Luxury Travel Association (BLTA), which brings together key players in Brazil’s luxury travel market.
