Maceió Mar Hotel, located at Praia de Ponta Verde in Maceió (AL), celebrates its 37th anniversary as a key player in the city’s tourism development.
History and expansion
Founded in 1988 by entrepreneur Hélio Vasconcelos, the hotel opened with 121 rooms and now offers 205 units, reflecting expansions, renovations, and modernization over the decades.
Facilities and strategic location
Part of the Grupo MME, the hotel strengthened Alagoas’ hospitality infrastructure and enhanced the urban seafront. It is near craft fairs, boat tours, restaurants, and offers family-friendly leisure areas and Family rooms.
Adaptation and skilled team
In 2020, operations were temporarily suspended due to the pandemic while structural and operational improvements were implemented. The hotel currently employs over 120 trained staff members.
International recognition
Maceió Mar Hotel received awards such as the RCI Golden Crown and Excellence in Service, and six Travellers’ Choice awards from TripAdvisor, reflecting high guest satisfaction.
