March at Iguaçu Falls: calm nature and new adventures

With trails, cycling paths, a local market, and exclusive tours, Iguaçu National Park reveals its most peaceful season in March.

March ushers in a serene transition from summer to autumn at the stunning Iguaçu Falls. As the crowds thin out, the Iguaçu National Park invites visitors to slow down and enjoy its calm pace, explore scenic trails, and embrace the vibrant life of the Atlantic Forest.

Immersive nature trails

The regular ticket includes access to five immersive trails, such as the iconic walk to the falls and the new Iguaçu Cycling Path. The São João Circuit takes visitors through a 2.8 km route filled with natural and historical landmarks, ending at the charming Espaço Usina café nestled in the forest.

Pedal through the forest

With the official Bike Iguaçu service, visitors can pedal through lush forest along the cycling path, renting bicycles by the hour or for the entire day. For a guided experience, the Bike Poço Preto tour covers 19.2 km with interpretive stops about the park’s biodiversity. The Canafístula Trail will be closed from March 8 to 23 for maintenance.

Local market and flavors

Every Saturday — March 7, 14, 21, and 28 — the Iguaçu Park Fair welcomes 20 local artisans and producers from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can discover handmade crafts, natural products, and regional delicacies celebrating the culture of Iguaçu.

Exclusive park experiences

Special programs include the Sunrise at the Falls with early access and breakfast, the Sunset at the Falls with beverages and exclusive views, and the Sky over the Falls, a guided astronomy session for up to 20 people with telescopes under one of Brazil’s clearest skies.
