Niê lands in Caraíva with a beach club and a village spot

Two new Niê addresses are reshaping Caraíva’s summer: one in the village center and one beachfront, with chef Victor Zuliani’s menu plus music and wellness.

Since December, the laid-back village on Bahia’s southern coast has welcomed Niê in a two-location format: Niê Caraíva in the sandy-street village center and Niê Praia, a toes-in-the-sand beach club set by the sea inside Pousada Quintal Caraíva. Open since the season kicked off, both spaces have drawn travelers from across Brazil and abroad — including public figures like Giovanna Ewbank and Bruno Gagliasso.

Beach days, starry nights

Each address matches a different rhythm. Niê Caraíva has quickly become a nighttime hub for dinners and late gatherings, keeping the village’s easygoing vibe intact.

Niê Praia, in turn, leans into long summer days: loungers by the water, cooling cocktails, curated music, and a schedule that blends food with wellness. It works as a home base between swims, shade breaks, and unhurried bites.

Design rooted in place

Architect Camila Aroeira signed the projects with an eye on Caraíva’s landscape and lifestyle. Niemeyer-inspired curves, natural materials, generous light, and fluid circulation create spaces that feel integrated — expanding what visitors can do without disrupting what makes the village itself.

A light, vibrant menu

Chef Victor Zuliani leads a kitchen designed for the heat of the season. Highlights include grilled octopus with peach palm purée and citrus olive oil, shrimp with cashew cream and local herbs, and a white-fish tartare with a black-rice crunch, alongside shareable small plates.

At Niê Praia, the menu follows the beachfront mood and open sea view, featuring dishes made for easy, lingering afternoons — such as a Thai-style duck rice with green curry and shrimp.

Music, wellness, and brunch

The programming reinforces Caraíva’s “all-day summer” feel. DJs and bands shape a soft soundtrack for the beach, while wellness sessions like yoga and functional training fit naturally into the routine.

Brunches after sun-filled mornings and evenings that stretch between plates, music, and spontaneous meetups round out the experience, connecting village nights and beach days in a single itinerary.

A project built on connection

Pedro Lobo, a partner at Grupo Marchê, which operates the spaces, says the project grew from a direct relationship with the destination. “Caraíva is a place where simplicity naturally coexists with sophistication. Our idea was to create spaces that respected that essence and offered new ways to experience the village, without losing authenticity,” he says.

Self-care activations by the showers

On the wellness side, Niê Praia partners with Minas Gerais-based personal-care brand Hidratei. The brand appears in activations at the beach club’s showers, spotlighting a multifunctional hair spray designed for use before sun, sea, pool time, or sports.

The initiative ties together food, nature, and self-care — a combination that feels at home in Caraíva’s slower pace, now with new gathering points for the high season.
