Paradisus Los Cabos, Meliá Hotels International’s adults-only luxury resort, has been named a winner of the Good Housekeeping’s 2026 Travel Awards. A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the property was included in the U.S. magazine’s list of honorees, available at https://goodhousekeeping.com/travel2026.

Founded in 1885, Good Housekeeping has built a long track record testing and recommending products and services. With more than 1,200 print issues and two decades of digital content, the publication is known in the United States for independent evaluations backed by the Good Housekeeping Institute.

For the awards, judges drawn from the editorial team, travel-industry specialists, and professional consumer evaluators reviewed experiences across five continents. Criteria covered service, value, dining, entertainment, accommodation design, and overall impression, as well as a destination’s attractions, accessibility, safety, and range of lodging options.

A five-star resort in San José del Cabo

Paradisus Los Cabos is a five-star resort in San José del Cabo, Mexico, and the brand’s third adults-only Paradisus property. Guests can choose from a wide selection of wellness-focused programming, activities, and experiences on and off the resort.

At the YHI Spa, the resort offers traditional treatments developed with local ingredients. The schedule also features sound healing, aqua yoga, and pilates. Off property, guests can join an activity combining a local tour through the “magical neighborhood” in downtown San José with a visit to a chocolate factory.

The beachfront resort recently renovated its The Reserve suites, adding upgraded areas and exclusive services. The enhanced offering includes VIP-oriented perks such as swim-up suites, along with facilities designed for a more tailored stay.

“We are truly honored to be recognized in the Good Housekeeping 2026 Travel Awards, a distinction that reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for every guest,” said Sara Ranghi, Marketing Director at Meliá Hotels International. “This award inspires us to keep raising the bar for modern luxury hospitality, further enhancing our Destination Inclusive® offering and reimagining what a truly extraordinary stay at Paradisus Los Cabos can be.”

Paradisus by Meliá says it is reshaping the all-inclusive luxury model through immersive cultural experiences and a holistic wellness philosophy. The brand positions stays as customizable, supporting a balanced lifestyle while connecting guests with local culture and the area’s natural beauty.

Among the pillars highlighted are the YHI Spa, with options such as hydrotherapy, massages using local ingredients, and expert-led rituals, plus fitness and entertainment programming with yoga, pilates, and sound healing sessions, alongside workshops, cultural outings, and elevated events tied to fashion and fine dining.

In 2026, the destination-inspired, all-inclusive luxury resort collection is set to continue elevating guest experiences in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and the Canary Islands. The brand also points to its expansion into Asia with the opening of Paradisus Bali in December 2025.

Air connectivity strengthens Los Cabos

The international recognition arrives at what the destination describes as a strategic moment, as air connectivity to Mexico’s Pacific coast expands. Since last December, Copa Airlines has launched nonstop flights between Panama and Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), creating the first direct air link between Los Cabos and Latin America.

The route operates three times a week—Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—using Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 160 seats. Via the Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport, Los Cabos gains access to more than 60 destinations across Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

Developed through a partnership between Copa Airlines and the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fideicomiso de Turismo de Los Cabos), the service aims to boost arrivals from Latin America, particularly Brazil. Organizers estimate more than 25,000 passengers per year will use the route, supporting higher visitor flows and interest in the region’s high-end experiences.
