Rigorous selection process

Months of tastings and analysis shaped TAP’s new Portuguese wine list. Experts and customer feedback reviewed nearly 1300 options across three phases. This led to the final 55 references.

The airline emphasizes Portugueseness onboard. It serves half a million bottles yearly to over 16 million passengers on 1,000 weekly flights.

Updates by class and bimonthly

In 2026, the wine list refreshes bimonthly across eight categories. Executive class offers 43 choices, including a white Port welcome drink, 12 reds, 12 whites, six sparklings, six Ports, and six Setúbal Moscatels. Economy features 12 options.

Nine wine regions provide variety. The selection enhances the inflight experience for wine enthusiasts.

Interactive map boosts enotourism

TAP pioneers an interactive enotourism map in its entertainment system. Passengers explore Portugal’s offerings via QR codes to websites, free of inflight internet costs.

Tailored for all travelers, it ties into Portugal Stopover. This lets flyers stop free in Lisbon or Porto up to ten days, with discounts at over 150 partners, including wine tours.

Ties into Local Stars cuisine

The wine list pairs with Local Stars, showcasing regional products. Executive menus feature chefs Ana Moura (Alentejo), Marco Almeida (Coimbra), Lídia Brás (Trás-os-Montes), Ricardo Luz (Algarve), Rita Magro (Porto), and António Galapito (Negrais).
