Thermas da Mata, a full-service resort and water park in Cotia, in Greater São Paulo, has extended its special themed season “Um Verão de Outro Mundo” (Out-of-This-World Summer) through March 15, 2026. Launched in January, the intergalactic programming has turned the complex into a top entertainment destination — where costumed character shows rival the park’s 15+ water attractions as the main draw.
Cosmic characters with real personality
Five original alien characters roam the park throughout the day, sparking spontaneous interactions and photo moments that have become a highlight on their own. Each creature carries a distinct personality rooted in water, nature, and the cosmos.
Nublita floats as gently as morning mist. Borboluco bubbles over with contagious laughter. Estalinda shines like a star diving into the sea. Ploft is the most lovably clumsy being in the cosmos. And Poseidiva reigns as the undisputed diva of the aquatic galaxies.
Five themed moments every weekend
Every Saturday and Sunday, the experience unfolds across five scheduled moments:
Magic Hour: guests are welcomed by the Thermalucos mascots and alien characters at the Hotel Thermas da Mata entrance.
Bright and Stellar Day: a second welcome featuring the space creatures at the water park gates.
Solar Stroll: characters roam freely through the park, creating candid encounters, photo ops, and spontaneous interactions.
Intergalactic Show: a live pocket show at Vila da Mata blending music, comedy, and collective energy.
Stellar Photo Session: a dedicated meet-and-greet with all characters for memorable keepsakes.
World-class facilities for all ages
Beyond the themed programming, Thermas da Mata delivers a full-scale leisure experience. Praia da Mata recreates a beach setting with a wave pool, sand, and lounge chairs. Thrill-seekers head to the Cyclone and Brabus slides, both reaching 20 meters in height.
Space Music, the second musical water slide in Latin America, pairs the rush of the descent with a synchronized soundtrack for a one-of-a-kind sensory experience. Families with younger children enjoy the Beach Kids zone — home to the AcquaBOOM and kiddie slides — while Vila da Mata offers six slides and family-friendly play areas.
The complex also features lush green spaces, 20+ dining options, a zip line, a natural water pool, and shaded relaxation areas throughout.
