Even before COP 30 was confirmed, the Vilarejo hotel group was already planting Ipês during year-end celebrations. The group’s hotels, in Conservatória, Valença, and in Rio das Ostras, along the Rio de Janeiro coast, celebrate the New Year by releasing hundreds of biodegradable balloons filled with Ipê seeds.
The initiative, fully aligned with the hotels’ environmental principles, contributes to reforestation with seeds from the most significant tree in the Brazilian biome. The Ipê, which blooms in various colors, thrives in the Atlantic Forest, the Zona da Mata, and even the Caatinga.
