First pharmacy inside Rock in Rio
Drogaria Venancio has joined the group of partner brands at Rock in Rio Brasil 2026 and will become the festival’s first official pharmacy. The initiative debuts a new service category within the Cidade do Rock, focused on convenience and care. The partnership strengthens the connection between the brand and the festival’s audience.
The stand will be located in the Espaço Favela area and will feature a store offering everyday essentials for a large event. In addition, the space will host brand activations and distribute giveaways for music and entertainment fans. This approach reinforces Venancio’s presence in major cultural events in Rio de Janeiro.
Partnership aligned with care and experience
Luis Justo, CEO of Rock World, the company that created and organizes Rock in Rio, highlighted the importance of the partnership. He spoke during Encontro Carioca, Venancio’s annual event for its industry partners, held at Qualistage. Before an audience of more than 1,500 people, he emphasized the shared vision between the two brands.
“We are very happy to have Venancio by our side for the first time. Rock in Rio has always sought to build bridges with brands that share our view of the city and of people, and Venancio does exactly that by being part of the daily lives of cariocas. Bringing this partnership into the Cidade do Rock, with the first pharmacy ever inside the festival, makes us very pleased and further reinforces the spirit of care we have for our fans, so that they always enjoy an incredible experience,” he said.
Service and convenience for festival fans
For managing partner Rodrigo Ahmed, participating in Rock in Rio crowns Venancio’s trajectory throughout the state of Rio de Janeiro. He recalls the brand’s 46th anniversary celebration at Cristo Redentor, its presence at three consecutive editions of Rio Open and its role in events such as Rio Gastronomia, Corrida da Venancio and Festival do Rio. Now, the Rock in Rio project fulfills a long-held ambition.
“Being the first pharmacy at the world’s biggest music and entertainment festival will be the realization of a personal dream and a joint goal with the Rock World team: to provide a service for those who need care in the Cidade do Rock, whether it is a sanitary pad, deodorant or insect repellent. We want to be remembered for making the Rock in Rio fan experience even better, with everything they might need,” Ahmed explains.
Growth in Rio state and focus on experience
With 47 years of history in 2026, Venancio plans to keep expanding its footprint in the Rio de Janeiro market. In 2025 alone, the company opened 15 new stores in strategic locations. It also took the Venancio customer-experience concept to four new municipalities.
Cities such as Rio Bonito, Cabo Frio, Três Rios and Volta Redonda gained points of sale that position themselves as more than traditional pharmacies. These units combine health services, retail and experience. Thus, the brand strengthens its role as a reference in health and well-being.
