A release timed with record-breaking momentum
The new album arrives during a high-profile stretch in Mars’ career. Recent highlights include Grammy-winning single “Die With A Smile” with Lady Gaga, which became the fastest song in Spotify history to reach 1 billion streams and topped the Billboard Global 200 for 18 weeks, setting a record.
Another standout is “APT.”, his collaboration with ROSÉ, named Apple Music’s most-played song worldwide in 2025. It also spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and 12 weeks atop the Billboard Global 200.
“APT.” won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards and earned three nominations at the 68th Grammy Awards: Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Spotify milestones and diamond certifications
Bruno Mars continues to rank among the music industry’s most influential forces. In January 2025, he became the first artist in Spotify history to surpass 150 million monthly listeners, placing him among the platform’s biggest global acts.
In October 2022, he became the first U.S. artist to achieve six diamond-certified singles. By 2026, Mars had secured at least seven diamond certifications in the United States.
Those songs include “Just the Way You Are” — cited as the most-certified song in history at 21x Platinum — plus “Uptown Funk” (with Mark Ronson), “Grenade”, “That’s What I Like”, “When I Was Your Man”, “Locked Out of Heaven” and “The Lazy Song”.
Chart legacy
His debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, is cited as the longest-charting studio album on the Billboard 200 by a male solo artist, totaling more than 345 weeks on the chart.
Across his career, Mars has scored nine No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and logged 30 weeks at the top of the Global 200 with hits released between 2024 and 2025.
