“Quiet in the street and wild in bed” sounds like an instant hook as Abel & Benício release “O Jeito Que a Gente Ama” live as part of Véspera de Feriado.
The new, previously unreleased song follows “Meio do Plano,” their collaboration with Panda, and sticks to what defines the project: real-stage energy, a close crowd, and a laid-back hangout vibe—the kind of atmosphere that fits the day before a holiday.
Humor, honesty, and a chorus that sticks
Built on punchy vocals and straight-to-the-point writing, “O Jeito Que a Gente Ama” uses humor to spotlight the contradictions inside relationships. Abel & Benício keep it simple, pulling from everyday scenes and familiar contrasts to describe the kind of love that works for them—light, sincere, and playfully irreverent.
The chorus centers on the line already shaped like a crowd chant: “quietinha na rua e safada na cama.” It underlines the duo’s easygoing tone while staying rooted in the romantic core of modern Brazilian sertanejo.
“The crowd reaction was immediate,” says Abel
“The song fit the DVD’s vibe perfectly. The crowd reacted immediately, with a lot of identification and participation.”
For Abel, the track hits because it treats relationship dualities with irony and warmth—close to how people actually talk. “It’s a truthful song, with irony and humor, the way people like it. The idea is that listeners see themselves in the story, enjoy it, and sing along,” he adds.
Live video recorded in Goiânia at Tatu Bola
“O Jeito Que a Gente Ama” arrives with a live video, recorded in Goiânia at the Tatu Bola bar. The capture keeps the project’s spirit intact: the audience up close, spontaneous delivery, and the feeling the song already belonged in the set.

Benício says the live setting made everything feel natural. “It was all very spontaneous. When we got on stage, it felt like the song had been part of the repertoire for a long time. When the crowd sings along like that, it’s a sign the song worked,” he notes.
A new chapter for Véspera de Feriado
With “Véspera de Feriado,” Abel & Benício show artistic growth without losing the fun, the honesty in the lyrics, or the bond with the crowd. “O Jeito Que a Gente Ama” strengthens that stance and keeps the duo on the radar as a rising act in the new generation of sertanejo.
