This Barra Funda spot in São Paulo buzzes with diverse artistic training and body practices, drawing crowds all month long.
Spotlight Workshops
The Brazilian Popular and Carnival Dances Workshop by Cia Pé no Chão runs on Saturdays February 7 and 14, from 5pm to 8pm. It dives into Brazilian carnival expressions. Price: R$ 75 per session.
Body and Drama Workshop – Dismantling an Actor led by Marcello Sampaio happens February 21 and 28, 2pm to 10pm. It builds personal growth, self-awareness, and confidence. Feb 21: experimental session R$ 50. Feb 28: full workshop R$ 250.
Regular Programming
Mondays feature Introduction to Figure Drawing with Carlos Morgani, Life Drawing and Painting sessions (including Drink and Draw), and Figurative Clay Sculpture in the garden at two times.
Wednesdays offer Singing and Choir with Camila Sant’Ana and Creative Writing – Screenplay by Tiago Bode.
Thursdays spotlight Circo no Porão, showcasing varied circus artists.
Sundays include Photo Club – Foto Chopp (2pm-5pm, R$ 75), Yoga (9am, R$ 200 monthly or R$ 70 drop-in), JAM – Contact Improvisation (11am, pay-what-you-can), plus biweekly Book Club (Fridays 6pm, R$ 30) reading Listen to the Beasts, led by Jane Oliveira.
