Highlights and Premieres
João Trevisan makes his first festival appearance since joining the gallery’s roster last year. His video Caminhar para acender has already been shown at the Museu de Arte Sacra de São Paulo and the Slag&RX Gallery in New York, signaling his growing international reach.A standout moment of this edition is the work by Dashiell Manley, shown in Brazil for the very first time. His debut in the national circuit, within the festival’s program, opens an important window onto the international video art scene for Brazilian audiences.Ayrson Heráclito‘s contribution is one of the festival’s most powerful presences. His practice is deeply rooted in Afro-Brazilian traditions and sacred elements, channeling actions and rituals that make up the history and culture of Black communities. His work is held in major international collections, including that of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
Across different narratives and visual strategies, the festival circulates multiple perspectives and proposes direct engagement with video art as an active field of discussion.
