Rock classics and brand-new songs on the same stage: Banda Catedral performs at Teatro Liberdade on April 10 at 9 PM.
One of Brazil’s most beloved Christian rock bands is coming to São Paulo for a night that spans nearly four decades of history. The show “Catedral Rock História” marks the opening of the group’s 2026 national tour — and this is the only date scheduled for the city, making it a rare opportunity for fans in São Paulo.
From the suburbs of Rio to the whole country
Founded in the late 1980s in Nilópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Catedral carved out a unique space in Brazilian rock music. Their blend of poetic, romantic, and reflective lyrics — rooted in faith but accessible to a wide audience — earned them a devoted following that spans multiple generations. Thirty-six years later, those songs are still being sung by heart.
The lineup and the set list
The core trio — Kim (vocals and acoustic guitar), Júlio Cezar (bass) and Guilherme Morgado (drums) — will be joined by guest musicians Ozielzinho (guitar) and Rafael (keyboards). The show promises a setlist built around landmark songs like “Quem disse que o amor pode acabar?”, “Eu amo mais você”, “Eu quero Sol nesse Jardim” and “A tempestade e o sol”.
New music in the mix
The evening also looks ahead. Frontman Kim penned three new tracks featured in the show: “Baile de máscaras”, “Convicção” and “A nova velha roupa do rei”. The inclusion of fresh material alongside the band’s most iconic songs turns the concert into a full-circle moment — honoring the past while pointing to where Catedral is heading next.

The show is co-produced by Inalive, part of Grupo IN — which also operates Teatro Liberdade — led by cultural producer Manuel Fernandes. Tickets are available through Sympla (with service fee) and at the venue’s box office (no fee), Tuesday through Saturday from 1 PM to 7 PM.
