Brazil’s national team coach experienced Rio’s Carnival at Sapucaí’s most prestigious venue, where he toasted with Ronaldo and watched the samba parades
On Sunday, February 15, Camarote Nº1 opened its 2026 season with global football stars. Italian Carlo Ancelotti, current coach of Brazil’s national team, made his Rio Carnival debut alongside Ronaldo Fenômeno, the former player who returned to the venue after more than a decade. The celebration marks 35 years of the Sapucaí’s most prestigious box.
Giants Meet at the Sambadrome
Ancelotti was the first to arrive at Sector 2 of Marquês de Sapucaí. After experiencing Carnival in Salvador and São Paulo, the coach landed in Rio to meet Ronaldo. From the box, ‘Mister’ watched Ronaldo’s appearance in Brahma’s exclusive parade on the avenue. From a distance, the two toasted the moment before gathering to watch Acadêmicos de Niterói’s parade together.
Ancelotti’s presence heats up the World Cup atmosphere already spreading across Brazil. The coach completed a tour of the country’s main festivities, consolidating his immersion in Brazilian culture. Ronaldo, who hadn’t frequented Nº1 for over ten years, enjoyed the evening alongside the national team’s commander and presenter Sabrina Sato, another distinguished presence at the box.
Tradition and Emotion on the Avenue
Camarote Nº1 prepared a series of special actions to celebrate its trajectory of over three decades at Sapucaí. The venue consolidates itself as a meeting point for personalities from sports, entertainment, and culture.
