Actress and singer chooses all-black metallic ensemble by Eduardo Caires for first night at Sapucaí as part of Nosso Camarote squad.
Anttónia made her grand debut at the Rio de Janeiro Carnival on Sunday, February 15, as part of the Nosso Camarote squad. For the first day of samba school parades, the artist chose a look that combines boldness and elegance: an ensemble called “liquid armor” designed by Eduardo Caires.
The glam and gothic aesthetic look brings Brazilian festivity with a contemporary twist. The top and skirt set is made of black metal mesh, creating an appearance that is simultaneously resistant, liquid and luminous. A headpiece with crystal droplet applications completes the outfit, with the detail extending throughout the ensemble and reinforcing the sense of fluidity.
It’s an enormous joy to be part of the Carnival in the city where I was born and to see the roots of our culture up close. This celebration represents so much about the Brazil I love, the country of joy and music. Anttónia
The singer will also be present for another parade day on Tuesday, February 17, and on the champions’ Saturday, February 21.
