Christian Chávez will sing atop Chá da Alice on Feb. 24 in downtown Rio, ahead of his “Para Siempre Tour” run across Brazil.
Rio’s Chá da Alice is adding an international spark to one of the city’s most iconic street parties. Christian Chávez has confirmed he’ll join the parade and perform on the sound truck, turning the moment into a live celebration of the bond he’s built with Brazilian fans over the years.
Date, time, and route area
The bloco takes over Rio on February 24. Gathering starts at 7 a.m. at the Preta Gil Circuit, around Rua Primeiro de Março in downtown Rio. The parade is scheduled to move out at 8 a.m., with Christian set to sing on the truck during the festivities.
A street-Carnival moment, up close
Known for high-energy performances and a warm relationship with Brazilian audiences, Chávez arrives in a mood of celebration and gratitude. The announcement frames his appearance as a chance to experience Carnival the way locals love it: in the streets, surrounded by the crowd, singing and partying together.
Chá da Alice before the “Para Siempre Tour”
The Chá da Alice performance also fits into a broader Brazil season for the artist. Before launching the countrywide leg of his “Para Siempre Tour”, he’s using his time in Rio to fulfill a longtime wish and share it with fans.
On stage, the tour promises a balance of emotion and full-throttle energy, revisiting key moments from his career while reflecting his current phase. The goal, according to the release, is to make each concert feel like a real reunion with the audience.
