Ivete Sangalo will headline a free electric-trio street set in São Paulo for the first time on February 7, leading 99’s “Quem Pede, Pede” block.
The appearance marks a first for the singer in São Paulo’s pre-Carnival calendar on an open-to-the-public trio. Beyond the performance, the brand says it will deliver “a big surprise” on the block day in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
99 brings Ivete to pre-Carnival
The “Quem Pede, Pede” block takes place on February 7 and sits within the campaign “Brazil asks for more than an app. Brazil asks for 99.” It’s part of a broader slate of Carnival activations across major cities.
In Rio, Ivete also leads a first-time block on February 1: “SeráQPede,” created in partnership with the traditional “SeráQAbre.” In Salvador, 99 sponsors the iconic Bloco Coruja, which hits the streets on February 14 and 16.
Meeting points and giveaways
To help revelers navigate crowded routes, 99 says the trios will feature special branded blimps that work as easy-to-spot meeting points.
In São Paulo, the company also plans giveaways, including a custom-branded pair of sunglasses. The activations are produced by VOE, the live-marketing agency within Grupo 4ZERO4.
Expanding Carnival footprint
Ana Verroni, 99’s CMO, says the goal is to translate the company’s Brazilian identity into street-level experiences. “Only a brand that understands what Brazilians ask for can make history at Carnival, so we’re thrilled to confirm that, for the first time ever, we’ll have Ivete on a free electric trio for the people of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro,” she said.
99 is also listed as an official sponsor of the street carnivals in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador, across two- and four-wheel categories—positioning its mobility services as an option to get to and from the blocks.
*This category is not available in São Paulo. If alcohol is consumed, riders should choose options such as 99Pop, 99Negocia, 99Plus, 99electric-Pro, and 99Taxi, following 99’s Community Guidelines: https://99app.com/guiadocomunidade99/
99Food at Rio Carnaval 2026
For samba-school fans, 99Food will serve as the official delivery partner of Rio Carnaval 2026. At Sapucaí and the Carnaval FAN Fest in Copacabana, the brand promises an avenue activation focused on awareness and messaging.
Announced perks include free delivery and \(R\$99\) in coupons. To showcase the on-the-ground coverage, 99 will also feature Sabrina Sato as one of its official correspondents during the season.
“Brazil asks for 99” campaign
99 recently launched its Carnival 2026 campaign under the line “Brazil asks for more than an app. Brazil asks for 99.” The film premieres this week, with rollouts planned for TV, social media, and OOH placements.
Created by CP+B, the campaign stars Ivete and uses her high-speed Carnival routine to frame the app as a one-stop solution—from grabbing a bite before going on stage to getting to the trio, and even handling last-minute needs like retrieving something left at home.
