Lore Improta parades pregnant for Viradouro as Dangbé serpent

Lore Improta stars in one of the most emotional moments of Carnival 2026 by parading for Viradouro pregnant with her second child. The artist takes on the role of muse representing the Dangbé serpent, central symbol of the theme that brought Bahia to Marquês de Sapucaí in tribute to Mestre Ciça.

The costume, created by stylist Thiago Setra, materializes the concept of strength’s birth from the serpent’s nest, an element symbolizing protection, resistance and victory. The choice directly dialogues with the artist’s personal moment, celebrating motherhood while honoring Carnival tradition.

Double emotion on the avenue

For Lore, this parade represents the union of two passions: the avenue and family. With years of experience in Carnival, the dancer now experiences the emotion of crossing Sapucaí in a new life phase.

Viradouro brought this year a theme celebrating Bahian culture and the trajectory of Mestre Ciça, emblematic figure of Brazilian Carnival. The presence of Lore Improta, native of Salvador, Bahia, further strengthens this connection between the samba school and the northeastern roots of samba.

The muse’s performance promises to mark the audience’s memory, uniting talent, emotion and the symbolic strength of the Dangbé serpent in a celebration that transcends the avenue.
