Pinto da Madrugada hits the streets on Feb 7, and Sais Beach Living Hotel stacks masks, feijoada and rooftop parties from Feb 13–17 in Pajuçara.
Carnival in Maceió is already in full swing. Ahead of the official dates, the city’s summer energy turns into a packed calendar of street parades, traditional bloco culture, and dance parties that keep locals and visitors moving from morning to sunset.
One of the biggest draws is Pinto da Madrugada, set for February 7, the Saturday before the main celebration. The bloco leaves from 7 Coqueiros and heads toward Pajuçara, anchoring the weekend that many people treat as the real kickoff.
A beachfront hotel joins the party
For travelers who want the festivities with extra comfort, Praia de Pajuçara adds an upscale option: Sais Beach Living Hotel. The hotel’s in-house Carnival programming runs from February 13–17, designed to connect guests with local traditions while keeping the experience easy and curated.
At check-in, guests receive Carnival-themed welcome gifts such as a visor, a lanyard cup, confetti, and a welcome card listing the hotel’s schedule. Kids get their own kit with playful accessories, signaling a family-friendly approach.
On Saturday (Feb 14), activities include a children’s mask-customization workshop and the Masquerade Ball at 7 pm on the rooftop. Sunday (Feb 15) brings the Feijoada Sais, paired with a live local choro group—Rio-style Carnival flavor with an Alagoas twist.
Feijoada Sais is the only paid event in the lineup. It costs R$ 290 per person and includes water, juice, soda, craft draft beer from Alagoas brewery Hop Bros, caipirinhas, non-alcoholic drinks, and beer. Children aged 6–12 pay R$ 145; kids under 5 are free.
On Monday (Feb 16) at 8 am, the hotel rolls out its own bloco: Sais Pra Folia, with live music plus water and popsicles. The run ends on Tuesday (Feb 17) with Pagode do Beat at 4:30 pm, also on the rooftop.
The setting is part of the appeal. The rooftop’s 360-degree views frame Pajuçara and Ponta Verde, turning late-afternoon parties into a sunset experience—equal parts celebration and scenery, with a wellness-luxe vibe.
