In the early hours of February 17, 2026, Rio’s Sambadrome witnessed a landmark moment: Neguinho da Beija-Flor made his debut as a standard-bearer (baluarte) in Beija-Flor’s parade — the second escola to take the Avenida on the second night of the Grupo Especial. Having stepped away from the lead float in 2025, the iconic singer opened a bold new chapter in his carnival legacy.
The most coveted stage at Sapucaí
After the parade, Neguinho took the stage at the most sought-after spot in the festivities: the Nosso Samba stage inside the NOSSO VIP lounge — a space purpose-built to honor samba as Rio’s signature art form. The performance drew devoted samba fans in an atmosphere of pure celebration.
Giovanna Lancellotti joins the rhythm
Actress Giovanna Lancellotti could not resist the beat, dancing samba alongside Santiago Vieira, CEO and co-founder of NOSSO, and his wife Isabella Arouca. The trio’s energy perfectly captured the spirit of the evening.
