For the second straight year, chef Celso Vieira brought Pasta em Casa’s signature gnocchi in bisque with shrimp and crispy bacon to Rio’s Camarote Brown.
On Carnival Monday (Feb. 16), Rio de Janeiro restaurant Pasta em Casa returned to the prestigious Camarote Brown by Licia Fabio e Zum Brazil. Chef Celso Vieira headlined the chef’s night, presenting a signature dish that captures the restaurant’s core identity: simplicity, elegance, and bold flavor.
The dish of the night
Vieira chose to serve gnocchi in bisque reduction with grilled shrimp and crispy bacon — a sophisticated twist on one of the restaurant’s most beloved classics. The dish was designed to bring comfort and fuel to revelers in the middle of Rio’s most intense celebration.
The rich, concentrated seafood bisque paired with the crunch of bacon adds layers of texture and depth to the classic potato dumpling, striking a balance between festive indulgence and homestyle warmth.
A tradition in the making
The invitation is rooted in a long-standing friendship. Licia Fabio was among the first to welcome Pasta em Casa when the restaurant launched, and the chef’s night at her camarote has since become a fixture on the restaurant’s calendar.
